The Health Region CologneBonn sees itself as an industry-wide network of companies, institutions and associations of the health sector in the Rhineland, Germany. As a regional sector network, Health Region CologneBonn focuses on cooperation and communication between the individual players in the healthcare industry and on improving structural conditions.
More than 140 companies, institutions and associations have come together in the Health Region CologneBonn (HRCB) across all sectors. The purpose of our association is the promotion of and networking between science, research, economy, supply and other areas in the cluster medicine and health in the Cologne-Bonn region. The aim is in particular to contribute to the development and expansion of the Cologne-Bonn region into a nationally and internationally recognized health location.
Chairman of the executive board is Prof. Dr. Bernhard Koch (form. repr. director of the DLR (German Aerospace Center) Institute of Aerospace Medicine and repr. of the association board division Space Research and Technology of the German Aerospace Center), Vice Chairman is Prof. Dr. Henning Adamek (director of the Medical Clinic 2 at Klinikum Leverkusen).
The HRCB Projekt GmbH as a subsidiary of the Health Region CologneBonn implements initiatives, projects and innovations for the further development and strengthening of the health economy and health care system.
In close cooperation with the Health Region CologneBonn and the HRCB Projekt GmbH, the gewi-Institut für Gesundheitswirtschaft e.V. (Institute for healthcare studies) accompanies scientific projects and assignments.
